1. How accurate are the summaries and transcripts in Finnish? How is their quality tested?
Answer:
We use Amazon Transcribe for Finnish transcription, which delivers very high-quality results—on par with OpenAI Whisper Large but faster. We’ve tested multiple speech recognition services on the same set of Finnish, Swedish, and English audio files, and Amazon Transcribe is currently the best solution for Finnish.
Once audio is transcribed, our AI generates summaries and analyses using Google Gemini 2.5 Flash. The model usually produces clear and helpful summaries, though like all AI, it can occasionally make mistakes. Summaries are intended to support recruiters, not replace human judgment.
The AI only analyzes the transcribed answers and does not have access to candidates’ personal information such as name, gender, or ethnicity unless the candidate mentions it. This helps reduce bias and ensures more objective evaluations.
2. How do you ensure that summaries and transcriptions do not contain biases?
Answer:
While absolute certainty can never be guaranteed with AI, the LLM model used by Recright does not know the candidate's gender, ethnic background, name, or other personal background factors. AI analyses, such as summaries and transcriptions, are based solely on the transcribed text content of the interview – not on the voice, name, or other external factors. In practice, the AI has less background information than a human interviewer, meaning it introduces less human bias into the analysis than a person would. Furthermore, LLM providers work continuously to identify and reduce biases – you can read more about these topics in the bias documentation they publish.

3. How do you plan to ensure applicant consent and awareness regarding the use of AI?
Answer:
Applicant consent and awareness of AI usage can be ensured as part of the standard recruitment process and privacy policy. GDPR does not require a separate mention of AI usage unless it involves automated decision-making or profiling. When using Recright's AI, personal data is processed for the same purposes within the recruitment process as it would be without AI – for example, conducting video interviews and assessing applicant suitability. If they wish, clients can inform applicants about the use of AI using a statement like this:
"The recruitment process includes AI-assisted processing of personal data. However, the use of AI does not involve automated decision-making or profiling under the GDPR. All decisions and assessments within the recruitment process are made by a human.
