Recright Interview Rounds

A Recright interview is a real-time interview conducted remotely online.

This guide will walk you step by step through how to create a Recright interview round, and how to invite candidates.

  1. Start creating a new interview round by scrolling down to 'Interview rounds' section and click 'Create new'

  2. Add interview round title, choose the language, and open until date.

  3. Select interview guide template for the interview. If you don't have an interview guide set up yet, you can find the instructions here.


    Once you select a guide, you can view, and edit the guide before saving.

    Click 'Create new interview round' to save the interview.

  4. After saving, you can:

    • Edit interview round

    • Change interview round status

    • Edit invitation message

    • Edit recruitment team by clicking 'Edit team'

    • Edit interview guide

    • Add candidates to the interview round

      If you have invited candidates to your interview round, you can't edit the interview questions.

  5. Invite candidates by clicking 'Add candidates'

    • Add candidate's email address and name.

    • Complete by sending invitation via candidate's profile or select multiple candidates at once and click 'Schedule interview'

  6. Select scheduling type:

    • Regular (Use this if you schedule the interview with the candidate outside of Recright)

    • Scheduled (The time of the live interview is chosen by the candidate based on your availability)

    Click 'Continue'


Regular

  1. Select the candidates which you want to invite to 1-2-1 interview. In this view, you can also invite multiple candidates to separate interviews.


    Select the interview start time, and the interviewers.

  2. Send invitations to candidates. In this view, you can also edit the invitation message. Click 'Invite candidates'. Each of the candidates will receive an individual link to the interview.

  3. The candidate will receive the invitation email (example below)



Scheduled

Scheduled interview allows for the candidates to select an suitable interview time according to interviewer's availability.

  1. Select interviewers participating in the interview.

  2. Set the time frame and the slot length for meetings
    Once you have selected the interviewers and the time frame, you'll see what slots will be visible to the candidate.

    ​If your calendar is not yet connected to Recright, you can find the instructions to set the calendar here.

    If you want to select multiple time slots that are not consecutive, turn off the option ‘Allow the candidate to choose from all the available time slots in the selected time frame.’

    If you make changes in the scheduling view, remember to update the view by clicking 'Refresh availability'

  3. Click 'Continue' to move on to invitation email. You can edit the message in this view. You can also edit the 'Greeting'- section (default greeting is Kind regards)


    Complete the inviting by clicking 'Invite candidates'

  4. Candidate will receive an email to schedule a suitable time the interview. Once the candidate has confirmed the time, it will be added to your calendar, and you will receive a notification via email.


Interview flow

When it's time for the video interview, log in to Recright, open the scheduled interview, and click 'Enter Live Interview' to join the session.

Candidate will access the interview via the link provided in the invitation email.


  1. Before entering the video interview room, take a moment to review your settings. You can choose a virtual background, and test your camera and microphone to ensure everything is working properly. You’ll also be able to view the settings once you’re in the interview.


    Once you’re ready, simply click “Join meeting” to enter.

  2. You’ll receive a notification when someone joins the interview. To admit the candidate, recruiter, or hiring manager, simply click "Let in" as shown below.

  3. During the interview you can do the following:

    • You can close your camera + microphone

    • You can share your screen

    • You can record the interview (will be saved in Recright-platform, you can make several recordings)

    • You can react (send claps, hearts etc.)

    • You can chat with the participants

    • You can follow the Interview Guide during the interview. You can manually move between the tabs. The AI will make notes automatically during the interview.

  4. Once completed, you can exit the video interview by clicking 'Leave'

  5. If you have recorded the interview, the interview will be available on Recright. Click 'See interview recordings'


    If you have recorded several videos, all will be visible in this view.

  6. You can delete the video interview and its details anytime by clicking "Remove live interview."

  7. To cancel the interview, simply click the "Cancel Live Interview" button at the bottom of the page.

    Once canceled, the interview will be automatically removed from Recright, and the candidate will be notified with cancellation email.

  8. Settings


    You can access the settings during the interview by clicking the small gear icon. In the settings, you can adjust and test your camera and microphone as needed. For example, you can switch to an external microphone if you prefer.


    In the Effects section, you can adjust your background image. If you like, you can also upload your own background by clicking "Drag or click to add image." To confirm your changes, click "Apply."


    In the General section, you can choose the language and the skin tone for reactions.


    In the Advanced Settings, you can adjust the options listed below.
