Star creating a video interview in LAURA from the Modify job- view using the “Create video interview” function.
By clicking the “Create video interview” option, the system will automatically transfer you to Recright, where you can create the video interview and record the video questions.
The details (e.g. name) of the interview will be transferred to Recright automatically.
You can change the interview title shown to the applicant at this stage. Specify the location, and remember to set the final response date — usually 4–5 days is a suitable timeframe.
Next step is to add/record the interview questions. The most common approach is to record a Welcome video, 3–4 video questions, and a Thank You video at the end. Remember to remove the “Applicant can answer this question” setting from both the Welcome and Thank You videos. In the Welcome video, it is good to define the maximum length of the applicant’s answer (e.g., 1–2 minutes).
When the video questions are ready, remember to save the interview. After this, you can close the tab and return to LAURA. The interview is now ready.
After creating and saving the video interview, the view in LAURA changes to “Show video interview.” You can add video questions or edit the video interview (editing takes place in Recright) until the first video interview invitation has been sent. After that, the questions can no longer be edited.
Note: In the job editing view, under “Edit video question,” you can modify the application-stage video question, if one is in use.
Video interview invitations to applicants are sent from LAURA through the application processing view by selecting the applicants and clicking the video camera icon (Send video interview invitation). You will be directed to a confirmation page where you can finalize the sending of the invitations.
Applicants receive the video interview invitation by email, which contains their personal link to the interview. They can access the questions under “View questions.” Below the link, the applicant will also see the interview deadline.
Applicants’ video responses appear alongside their applications in LAURA (under Videos) once they have completed the video interview.
Comments and evaluations of applicants are done in LAURA in the commenting section.
